I am so excited for this shawl. I made this for breastfeeding so this way we can have something beautiful to cuddle with! I used Madeline Tosh Yarn which is just amazing! The color WaterLily is just yummy!

Vogue Knitting Live!

The Vogue Knitting Convention was held at the Hilton in NYC. My mom and I went for the weekend and it was so much fun! I was very excited to go with my mom since I know that in a few months I will be a mom myself, I thought this would be a start to maybe a new tradition! I couldn't wait to get the Blue Moon Vendor so I could buy the yarn I wanted to start the baby blanket.

I also got to meet Debbie Bliss and she autographed my magazine!

Its been quite a long time since I have been on here. I have much to consume my time lately. I am now alittle over 6 months pregnant and I have been knitting my tail off. I am working on the biggest project I have ever done, a baby blanket! I also started a sweater and breast feeding shawl that needs to be finished I would like to start some soakers and a baby hat, but its seems like I just don't have enough hours in the day!!!!!!!!!

This baby was a surprise, my husband and I did try for 3 years with all the surgeries and fertility that didn't work, just when I had enough and gave up and said lets just not worry about it anymore, surprise!!! Now, I am starting to feel kicks and punches and it is just the most amazing feeling ever!!!!

Thanksgiving.

It's been a while with a lot of changes, challenges and knowledge. Today we celebrate a holiday called Thanksgiving...I want to tell you all how thankful I am to have found, known, and have experienced such wonderful and amazing people and events in this life so far. Being 29 in a world of wonder...life has really challenged me lately to wonder...what is it that I am put here to do. I combine my life with love, laughter, experience, challenges and life long excursions that I will always continue to travel on!

Today I truly celebrate and thank you all and my life for the adventures that I have endured.

Thank you all for it and I look forward to what will come in the weeks ahead before a new year begins!

This was also a new challenge for me this is only my second baby blanket and i love the colors and the simple design of it! I will def. keep this in bag of tricks to use again!

I did really like this pattern, I bought a different yarn then what my pattern called for , I did a swatch to check the gauge, but it still didn't come out quite right, but I am satisfied with the way it feels and the way it looks. I really think that I will attempt this again it was really fun!

I am really excited for this January, I am going to Vogue Live Knitting Conference in NYC, I am taking a class on how to adjust your gauge and changing patterns, so that will help with the next attempt.

In order to get better you must challenge yourself! So here I go....

I told myself that I was going to try challenge myself with more advanced projects this summer . Not really sure where this will take me, but I started with this camisole pattern. So far it is great! Love the yarn it is a Cotton Classic Lite and the color red is just divine.

I have wanted to try some new things, My cousin is due to have a baby in a month, the green sweater is for her new bundle of joy! My girl friend asked if I would make a sweater for her girlfriend that is having a baby, so i tried a new tank sweater to keep up with drive of new things, I need to step up my knitting. I really need to challenge myself, so hopefully over the summer I will try some new exciting things. Summer is always inspiring for me, the nice weather and the long nights!

Thanks! Margaux I was able to create a great scarf, my mom was so excited for this one she didn't even let me block it, she took it over the holiday vacation and is wearing it with much love! I am in the process of making another one, it is a great pattern and alot of fun to make!

This is my first time doing a craft fair for weezy knits, everyone has told me for the last few years to put my stuff out there, so I guess I am going to take some advice and go for it! I wish I had more stuff for it, but I have sold many items or have given some away as gifts but I guess this is the beginning! I am very excited to be part of ITSY! Here a few things I have finished this week! Hopefully a few more things will get done we shall see!

Finally after much looking, then bargaining, then paperwork, then packing! We are finally in our new home, which is a great feeling. I can decorate it any way I want, paint it any color I choose! I am very happy that I finally have home that I can say is mine and that I can be really proud of! Here is couple pics of the new pad!

So the last couple month have been a crazy whirl wind of things! I have had to put my needles down for a bit... My husband and I bought a townhome in Monmouth County, this is where I grew up, so I am excited to go back home to where I am comfortable for the time being, we are trying to take advantage of the low market and the many things we can utilize for new home buyers. So, the creative Lisamarie has had to put her needles down for a while and use the creativness towards a new home! Not so bad! Hopefully I will be sitting next to my new fireplace knitting away!

Last night I drove to B & N and picked up this amazing book, Vintage Baby Knits more than 40 heirloom pattterns from the 1920s to the 1950s, with every page I got more and more excited! I can't wait to start a project!!!!! Kristen Rengren is a genius!

The Dreaded Husband Sweater that I must finish!

The Summer Has Gone So Fast!

This blanket (Pebble by Ann Norling) was so much fun to make it was made with 5 skeins of Perfection by Kraemer Yarns . The texture is lovely and great for a child. The holes are just right for a great design but not big enough for a child to get caught in! It really showcased the yarn. This was made as a sample and I can't wait to make another for someone. The blanket made its journey through W.VA, Antigua, and LBI. It has kept me busy through my last and hopefully final surgery.

This was the first blanket that I ever made, actual first thing I learned on. I came home from college and needed to get gifts for my friends, and I was broke, so I asked my mom is she could show me how to knit, so I could make gifts for my friends, so she started me on a blanket, and just had me do the basic knit and purl and it took me close to 2 years to finish this, but it is by far my favorite blanket. Don't really know why I have never posted it, but here it is.

Koigu Baby Kimono

I am very excited, I was asked to knit samples for my local knitting shop! I really enjoy myself there. It is more like a mental help session, but instead you knit and don't have to pay someone to ask you questions. A family away from home! So last class, I was asked to knit samples, and you know it made me feel really proud, their are so many other people who are amazing at knitting and she asked ME! Really, I am so honored! The first project that I was given was the Koigu Baby Kimono, it is easy, but amazingly cute! The yarn is so delicious it is Louisa Hardings Kashmir Baby in Candy Floss, the name of the yarn is not so flattering to be it is the color of a purple orchid, so soft and yummy! Very excited to learn new things, and use new products.

Beret Bonanza

This one is called BEHIND BLUE EYES , Last night I finished another Beret! I am offically addicted! I started it on Saturday night and finished it on Sunday! I really enjoy making them, the yarn itself is in such wonderful, harmonious colors. Claudia Handpainted Yarn (of course the fingering weight) is one of my favorites, it really knits up beautiful!

WORLD WIDE KNIT IN PUBLIC DAY!

I wait all year for the World Wide Knit in Public Day! It is great, this year there was a yarn swap and yarn sale. We got "rained in" usually we sit outside in our beach chairs for everyone to see us stitching away, but mother nature had a different plan for us! Thanks to stix-n-stitches, we had a dry place to seat ourselves and knit away! Great food thanks to Shelia, and great company with the Raverly stitchers. I walked away with a great new stash and a crochet lesson! I really enjoyed my day! Here are some images of us at work!

This was made from all the extra yarn that I had from the berets that I have made for friends and family members, I love the way it turned out. The colors look great, and the extra room is even better then I expected. Love this little Rasta Cap!

This is my favorite hat ever, this is called Cabled Eve. The hat itself is knitted in the round with cables. The brim is crocheted with a little help from my most experience mom.
